Our Story

Three friends with a shared passion for computers first met during middle school, bonding over their curiosity about operating systems like Windows XP. They spent countless hours tinkering, breaking, and fixing their systems as they learned. Their first steps into programming began on an old Windows 98 system at a state school, where they experimented with simple BAT files. This early experience led them to master MS-DOS programming and develop a deeper understanding of how Windows functioned, eventually sparking their interest in web development.

By high school, after learning professional programming languages, they sought to apply their skills by founding an organization called UAKQ, aimed at developing and distributing software. While UAKQ produced several projects, none saw an official release. However, these early endeavors laid the groundwork for what would eventually become Ally Bros.

As their expertise and vision expanded, they realized the need for a more global and recognizable identity. In 2013, they rebranded as Alliance Brothers—later shortened to Ally Bros—signifying a new chapter in their journey. With this fresh start, they launched their website, initially as a subdomain, before going live officially on January 9, 2015. Just two days later, on January 11, they published their first app, NetRover, on Google Play.

Today, Ally Bros operates as a nonprofit organization dedicated to developing open-source software solutions. Their mission is to create innovative, accessible, and impactful technology that simplifies everyday life and empowers communities worldwide. The team remains committed to fostering a collaborative, open-source ecosystem where technology serves the greater good.
